Cedars-Sinai New Grad Program Spring 2017
@LuRN11 yeah...the video interview was weird. haha... I contacted HR at UCLA and they said that they hoped we would hear by "the holidays but be prepared for after the new year" You said only a few more days. Maybe you found out different info for the unit where you applied. My first interview was Nov 15th and then I had my second one the same week. Do you know when we will hear about the next phase for Cedars? I would think pretty soon if the in person interviews are beginning of January.

Did you already do the one way interview? I plan on doing mine today. It's going to be strange talking to myself. Did you apply to UCLA, as well? The waiting period is so agonizing. You are right! Ugh. It's crazy to me that Cedars only hires 30-40. Is their initial pool a lot smaller than UCLA's? UCLA is hiring like 200 I think. At Cedars all new grads filter into Med-Surg, right? By the way @LuRN11 ...who gave you that information?

UCLA New Grad Residency Winter 2017
Hey there. Has anyone heard anything from Oncology besides the one person? (Also, to that person if you are reading: were you an internal applicant?) I forgot to ask the unit manager if there was a date we would hear back by...so I guess I'll just figure it's the standard date on the sheet (unless anyone from Onc knows anything different). Thanks

USF MSN-CNL non-nurse spring 2017
That is hilarious. Sounds like a troll. MSNs do the same course work plus the masters course work. I am not sure what hospital would ever deny someone with a masters degree. Probably one that shouldn't be around.

Everyone gets a job sooner or later. Many right of of the program...of course, some have to way a few months. There are many reasons why someone may or may not get a job.

I'm in the cohort that is graduating in a few months. The final CNL project is 300 hours and everyone should have a preceptor. Sometimes a hospital may drop out and, in that case, they will probably make one of the teachers your preceptor and you'll do the project as a group like they did this semester.

Applying to UCLA MECN to start Fall 2015?
Hey all, I got my acceptance admission letter via online today, as well. I applied last year and didn't get in and had to wait patiently till April to hear about it. I'm happy I got in this time, but I will be declining, because I already accepted and am almost 5 weeks deep into the MSN-CNL program at University of San Francisco. I'd just like to say to all of you that there is a reason you get in/don't get in. In that specific moment, you question why. If I had gotten into UCLA last year, I never would've applied to USF, and I am so happy here. For me, it's a perfect fit. So, my advice is...just keep doing your thing! Keep pushing forward because you will truly understand it was all for a reason when you're looking back. Again, it makes me feel good that I got accepted to UCLA, but for those of you who don't get accepted, know it's just not right for you at the moment. Who knows where it will take you! All the best!

I posted in our facebook group about a room for rent that may be appealing to someone! Check it out.

University of San Francisco MSN-CNL for non-nurses
My portal hasn't changed, yet...so I'm a bit behind, but I applied for FAFSA back in June, so I'm guessing they've had enough time to receive that. Who knows.

@mikolover Some people just found out today, so don't worry about not having the packet already! If you've been accepted and would like to join the FB group it is called "USF CNL Cohort 19"
