Hi y'all!
I applied for the USF nursing program as a transfer student for fall of 2016. I was looking at the form someone created last year of fall 2015 and it seemed to be very helpful to those who are applying and waiting for an answer, likewise as myself.
My GPA is not too high but I have tons of volunteering and work experience. I am really nervous to hear back from them.Has anyone heard back from USF already? and if so what are your stats?
Good luck to everyone! :)
Hey, I am planning on applying for spring 2017 to USF. I just finished my prerequisite with 3.9 Total GPA , and 4.0 on my all since classes (anatomy, physiology and microbiology). I have two years of work expricance, but since I am working student I didn't have a chance to Do any volunteer work. People say it's hard to get in to the BSN programs, and I am very stressed about it. Do you think I will get accepted ? What do you think is my chance of getting in to their BSN program? I would appreciate Any recommendations.

I think you still have time to do some volunteer work. From my experience you need both grades and volunteer experience unless you have actual paid work experience in Heathcare. Unfortunately, I have heard of a lot of people who didn't get in because of no experience at all.
You have 4-5 months to do some sort of volunteer work. I say take advantage of it!
Hi, I am a high school senior considering applying USF BSN program for 2017. I have a 3.5 unweighted GPA and 2130 SAT score, I will start volunteering at a hospital next month. Do you think I am considered as a strong applicant?
Also I would like to know if it is hard to find jobs as a new grad from BSN program. Thanks you! @Kurrin,BSN, RN
Hey everyone I;m applying for the 2017 BSN as a transfer. My aunt worked as an admissions director and Professor of Communications at USF so thats how i came across this program. My stats are 3.5 cum; 4.0 sciences; Ive been a CNA for 3 years. I work at los angeles county hospital.
I have a question, do we need our courses evaluated before we submit our transcripts? I'm coming from a community college.
This is what I used to make sure the courses are evaluated. Transfer Credit - Admission | University of San Francisco
If you need more info, I would contact USF admissions and they will gladly help you out.
Can someone tell me how long the transfer BSN program is at university of San Francisco. Their website just gives examples of how long it would take if I was freshman without any transfer units. Thanks in advance.
Fall 2017 Hopeful
the nursing program is 6 semesters. transfers start as sophomores no matter what. I was a transfer with a lot of credits but missing micro and physiology so I was admitted as a freshman even though I had junior status credit wise. Expect to spend 6 semesters there minimum and more if they put you in the spring '18 cohort for space reasons (there are a lot of incoming freshmen out of high school in the fall)
look ok at the outline for the BSN program. All classes starting with NURS are part of the nursing program

Hello everyone! I was also accepted to USF as a transfer student. My original housing situation didn't work out, so I'm in search for some housemates as well! I just recently became a member and am unable to PM anyone. If you are looking for a roomie too please let me know
