Hi y'all!
I applied for the USF nursing program as a transfer student for fall of 2016. I was looking at the form someone created last year of fall 2015 and it seemed to be very helpful to those who are applying and waiting for an answer, likewise as myself.
My GPA is not too high but I have tons of volunteering and work experience. I am really nervous to hear back from them.Has anyone heard back from USF already? and if so what are your stats?
Good luck to everyone! :)
@tay_87 correct. Incoming freshman have their core classes mixed in with their nursing courses starting sophomore year. The program is set up for incoming freshmen. It's not the best situation for transfers that's why they have the 4+1 program for transfers. Did a USF counselor tell you you needed the major requirements done? Because that wasn't the case for my cohort. PM me if you have more questions!
Hello guys!
I contacted admissions and second round decisions will be notified within a week or so. That being said, the first round decisions have already been made, and the amount of students they admit for the second round is dependent upon the number of first round students that accept admission to USF. So, there is a chance that a small number of applicants will be accepted to the second round. They are highly suggesting to take other options at this point. Just wanted to give an update!
Still haven't heard anything back yet.. From the looks on last years forum I think some people were still being admitted till june or july. Kinda shady how they said everything would be sent out by april 1st.
Yes I agree! I wish they created a wait list so we could get an idea of our chances.
