Hi y'all!
I applied for the USF nursing program as a transfer student for fall of 2016. I was looking at the form someone created last year of fall 2015 and it seemed to be very helpful to those who are applying and waiting for an answer, likewise as myself.
My GPA is not too high but I have tons of volunteering and work experience. I am really nervous to hear back from them.Has anyone heard back from USF already? and if so what are your stats?
Good luck to everyone! :)
My email is [email protected] if any of you guys want to contact me! From there we can exchange real names and what not :)
By the way, I start clinicals spring 2017. What about you guys?
Hi guys! :)
Has anyone else not received any notification of acceptance yet? I've emailed the office of undergraduate admissions and they told me that they don't have a firm date of when I will be notified. My application was received in April and status on the site says that it is still being processed and I am worried that my application probably may not have been reviewed yet Any thoughts on what is going on?

Your application was reviewed. What they did was they looked through all the application and accepted the first round, then out of those people who declined their acceptance USF goes back to the applications and accepts a few more. This process keeps on going till all spots are full. So technically you're on the waitlist just like I am. Last week they accepted the 2nd round of people so now we wait another 2-3 weeks for the 3rd round and so on. I heard people can get accepted even a week before USF starts because of people dropping out last minute.
Thank you so much for the reply. Oh man, that is not good to hear about the wait-list.Hopefully we won't have to wait too long or a week before USF starts. If they don't accept another round of applicants for this Fall, I wonder if they will offer spots for Spring semester. In the meantime I will just have to look to other schools and apply for the next semester.

Yeah I am going out of town for a whole month in July and I really hope to hear back whether I got in or not before. I am going to apply to other schools as well but for most state college they only accept nursing for the fall so Ill have to wait another year:(
Good luck to you!
My friend and I both received our rejection letters in the mail yesterday. I'm assuming all the spots for transfers are all taken now. I'm not sure how they choose their applicants. My gpa was pretty decent at a 3.76, but I guess they are looking for more hospital experience? Possibly becoming a cna would've been beneficial to applying. Well good luck to everyone who got accepted, or who are still in pursuit for nursing school! Don't give up!
Hey everyone I thought I would reply even though I was honestly too annoyed and hurt to do so the second I got my rejection. I also got my rejection letter: I applied with a 3.75 GPA, experience in hospital. Honestly, I am lost for what they look for in an applicant. Don't give up guys! Hope my response helps and makes connections that even us with both high GPA's and some type of hospital experience, did not get in. Kinda confused. Anyways, all I can do no is focus on whats next for me...I was hoping for a detailed explanation on my rejection, but it was pretty generic, which is probably what everyone got. Good luck to you guys! @SM @MrMurse
Thank you! I'm super frustrated as well. I actually had one year internship with the Nursing ROP program in my high school and also volunteered for 3 months at my local hospital. I also tutored anatomy and physiology for a semester in my college. I applied in November but no response till this month. But everything happens for a reason. Wish you guys the best of luck into nursing school!
