I will not receive my financial aid offer until May 5th. Would you give me an estimate of FAFSA give to us? After scholarship + FAFSA, how much out of the pocket do us have to pay? I’m really worried about my financial, so if I can know ahead it would be great. Thank you so much ?

Hello there,

I didn't apply to any scholarships. They offered to me in my acceptance letter. It was listed in the middle of my acceptance letter.

It states, "More good news: Because of your academic achievements, you have been selected to receive the Transfer Academic Scholarship Award in the amount of $15,000 per year (to be used toward tuition only). It will be renewed for every academic year of full-time undergraduate study at USF, provided you maintain satisfactory academic progress."

You should check if yours say this too! It's in bold. ? Good luck!

Hello there,

I believe I got full FAFSA, so I can provide you info based on what I was offered. The full cost without FAFSA per year is around $75k. With FAFSA, it would cost around 66k per year. If you got a scholarship, you would subtract it from the cost. They subtracted 15k for me, so my cost right now is 51k per year. If you divide that by half, it would be around 25k per semester.

Honestly, when I checked yesterday, the cost was less. I'm not exactly sure why the tuition increased today when I checked just now. I will to email them to check.

Yeah, when I click on Awards under the Financial Aid tab, it says I don't have any financial aid updates available for me. I'm hoping I can see my financial aid package soon. ? No matter what, I plan on attending this school, but I would just like to see an estimated out-of-pocket cost just so I can get an idea before I move up there. ?

By any chance does anyone know or have an idea of how a typical day/week will be like? Also, what the requirements are prior to starting this Fall/Spring (TB test, titers, background check, etc)?

According to their website, we will be drug tested before starting clinicals. I know that any college would be asking for vaccination records. I cannot say anything for sure about classes. I'm not sure about the timeline that we do these things in, but we should expect them.

I contacted someone from the VANAP program and they said we should be receiving a welcome email some time next week that will outline our next steps

Thanks for the update! I was starting to worry a little bit that I wasn't getting any of their emails because the only emails I've received from the school since getting accepted were a "congratulations"/deposit email and a deposit date correction email. I will be seeing you this fall at the Sacramento campus! ? I feel like most people applied to the Hilltop campus so it's exciting seeing someone also get into the VANAP program.

Hi! Yay how exciting :) Nice to meet you future classmate haha. Reading other admitted student's experiences has helped ease some of my anxiety. I guess I'm not the only one freaking out about not receiving another email besides the acceptance letter.

I got accepted too (feeling happy about it, yay!) but if I accept their offer, I start in Spring 2022 because I have completed all of my prerequisites! I'm still waiting on their scholarship/financial aid offer.
