I just got accepted into U of R's accelerated bachelors nursing program. Just wanted to start a thread to see who else is going there!
Hi all,
ABPNN candidate from the west coast, California.
I'm an applicant for Sept. 2011 as well. Just had my interview this last Tuesday.
I've been poking around on this site for awhile now, and finally have something to post about! :)
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and see how the other Fall 2011 applicants are getting along.
I know it's stressful waiting to here back about acceptance or not, but I've accepted the fact that I've done my best and all I can do is sit back and wait to see the results.
Good luck everyone!

Hey, Syberian Pup!
Thanks, yes, my friend years ago decided to give everyone pirate names, and mine became peglegmeg!
I did a phone interview; went very well. My stats range from 3.6 Bach GPA; still working on prereq's; about a 3.4 GPA with that right now. I'm female, mid-thirties. 34, actually, as today is my birthday :)
I worked as a funeral director/embalmer for awhile and now work in a lab doing cancer diagnostics. My background is in film and legal research, however. I think Rochester looks for diversity and interdisciplinary mediums, so I'm sure everyone has something neat to offer :)
It'd be nice to have a good mix of men and women in the program!
Where do you hail from?
Hi!
I've been keeping up with the post for awhile and decided to jump in. Hope everyone is doing well while the waiting continues. I was wondering for those who have had interviews - how were you contacted? I believe someone said they received a phone call. Any other means? And does anyone have a clue to how long the interview process it going to take? I have yet to hear back from them and I know that interviews have been going on for a bit now. Am I out of luck or is it just going to take some time to interview 300+ applicants? I'm hoping it's the latter. I also submitted the application close to the deadline, if that means anything. Anyways, good luck to everyone!

XOXJEDIXOX--Don't think that being fresh out of college is a deterrent. There are MANY students they've chosen that are in the program this year straight from college. Hope my info helped you SyberianPuppy!
