I just got accepted into U of R's accelerated bachelors nursing program. Just wanted to start a thread to see who else is going there!

For those in the upcoming May 2011 Class,

Does anyone need a roommate?! If so, can you please PM me!

I just got offered admissions and have a month to find housing.

I'm scrambling right now.

And as for the interview, I think they are calling people as they go through. The lady I spoke to said interviews won't be finished until late May - so you can hold out hope for a call until then (and yes, they ask for interviews via phone).

I was rejected for the AMPNN program, but they offered me a spot in the ABPNN program.

Lolamac: I was contacted for an interview on the phone but like SyberianPuppy said don't lose hope! They did say they received an enormous amount of applicants this year.

peglegmeg: I'm loving your back ground work! What exactly did you do with your work in cancer diagnostics? Did you work for a lab working on drugs? I'm just really interested in oncology, I did my senior thesis on it!

My interview is this Thursday and I will try to let you all know what to expect question wise! Good Luck everyone! :)

Hi LolaMac,

I was just wondering if you are applying to the AMPNN or ABPNN? I know that for the master's applicants, that they have not started them as of yet since it is a two step process and they need to schedule appointments with faculty who teach the master level courses. The do have a lot of applicant so please do not get discouraged. I am sure you will get an interview.

I hope we all get in too! And she said we'd know late May and into June...so long wait.

Well, if they are going to be interviewing into May then that gives me some breathing room. Although waiting until June is a bit of a bummer. I applied for the ABPNN program. My first apps for other schools were due in November, so I'm getting tired of playing the waiting game. Just a few more months... and then hopefully some good news!

I still haven't got anything from the school, I hate it that you have to wait so long. So if they didn't call you about the interview at this point, does this mean that you have a slim chance of getting accepted?

Hi Nat,

Did you apply for th AMPNN or ABPNN? I know for the AMPNN they have not yet set up interviews b/c they need the teaching staff (from the speciality you have chosed) to be there as well...U of R is unpredictable, so I would not give up hope. Best of luck to you. P.S What is your admissions profile like? Just curious
