I just got accepted into U of R's accelerated bachelors nursing program. Just wanted to start a thread to see who else is going there!
Hi URhopeful. They asked about my support system out here, how I felt about not working while in school. Why I wanted to be a nurse....things like that. Hope this helps in anyway. Congratulations to all who've made it this far!
Thank you very much samanthal. I really appreciate and I am sure it will help a lot with my interview. Best Wishes
I applied for direct entry in FNP and got accepted to MGH and I am still waiting for response from Marquette and Rochester. I am still trying to decide what would be my first choice from these three. I really wanted to get into UCSF but no luck.
Where did you guys apply?
Does anyone know if we need to take genetics the first year?

First - congrats on the interview!
Don't be nervous! The interviewer was very, very nice, and it just felt like a conversation. She asked me questions, I asked her questions. They mainly want to know why Rochester and why nursing, and why you think you can handle an accelerated program. It'll be okay! Good luck :)
P.S. - how are your stats?
Thanks for the information!
My stats are good I think. I graduated with a bachelors in chemistry 3.1 GPA and i have a 3.7 pre-req GPA. I've been working in a hospital for the last three years. The only thing that does make me nervous about my stats is that I'm young! I just turned 22 and I'm fresh out of college! I hope that doesn't negatively influence me in any way.
