  1. Financial Aid Info: The school gives out about 8-10 scholarships a semester. They are each $10,000. Starting last semester, the school starting MATCHING the scholarships with grants - so if you win one, you now get $20,000 total. If you do not win one (or even if you do), the rest must be in federal and (mostly) private loans. Best of luck everyone! It's a great program.
  2. Shellbell I'm going to U Rochester. The nursing program is amazing. I recognize you from the Hrsa thread. Did you get it??
  3. 3.7 might be fine. Just remember they don't care about essays or anything
  4. After I was rejected I ask and the admissions director actually told me that's how it works
  5. ECs and essays and stuff don't matter. Im an ivy league grad with amazing essays and recs and was rejected. Turns out they just put the gpas in order and pick the top - they don't care if it's a 4.0 community college vs a 3.5 ivy league. Its ridiculous
  6. Could any CURRENT students please send me a PM?? I have an important question! Thanks!
  7. The Mountain State University CRNA Program was shut down due to fraud and other issues. MSU has always been a degree mill - please avoid it for any program type.
  8. Ladies? There are guys in the program too, ya know.
  9. To all current students: How strict is the white shoe thing? I saw a nice pair of Puma's I liked, but they had very light gray accents on them. Where do I find all white shoes?
  10. Sort of a rude answer. I asked a simple question - how do people pay for it at Columbia? I didn't know if Columbia gave any financial aid (Rochester doesn't) for the accelerated program, or if everyone who went simply had parents/family willing to pay for it out of pocket, or if most people were taking out tons of loans. Your "it isn't rocket science" comment at the end was a little unnecessary...learn to take out your numerous personal issues in a more positive way instead of sounding like an ***** on the internet.
  11. How is everyone able to afford this? Just curious - I'm going to Rochester's accelerated program and it's so expensive! Most people are taking out 60-70K in loans - same for Duke?
