Hi everyone,

My name is Justine. I applied for U of R ABPNN for January of '19. I am still waiting for a response for an admissions decision but haven't heard anything back. Has anyone else applied and heard back from the program?

Hello everyone! I probably was the latest one to submit my application..but I'm just trying to wait patiently. Good luck to everyone!!

I just got home from my interview! It went really well and my interviewer was super nice and made me feel very comfortable. Has anybody else had their interviews recently? Fingers crossed for everyone!

Hello, everyone! I also applied for the Jan 2019 ABPNN. I have a phone interview today and am so really really nervous! How were your interviews?? Good luck for everyone!

Good luck on your interview! I'm sure you'll do well!! My interview went really good i think..she was very easy to talk to. Only asked me a few questions and left the rest of the interview for me to ask her any questions I had about the program.

They just let the september 2018 applicants know a few weeks ago. So expect to wait for a million years, and then wait more.

Congrats to everyone who has interviewed so far. I had my interview about 2 weeks ago (in person ) and it went really well! The faculty member who interviewed me was super nice :) she told me that about 350 people applied this cycle I believe ( my memory of this isn't perfect, so forgive me if I'm wrong). She also said they interview about half of the applicants.

I was wondering where everyone else is from and their background :) is anyone planning to attend the open house on 8/14th? If so, I look forward to meeting you all there!

Hi _ROC_girl! It sounds like everyone had a good experience with their interviewers, which makes me like the program even more! Thanks for info on the numbers!

I am from San Francisco, studied Art History in college, worked as an environmental non-profit exhibit designer for a few years, and then became a CNA 4 years ago. Work as a float at UCSF and in home care, and as an immigration legal assistant here in San Francisco. I love these accelerated programs because of the mix of people and backgrounds applying! Thanks for asking, _ROC_girl. Would love to hear about more people here.

Oh, and I will not be coming out for the open house. It's very accommodating that they do phone interviews for those out of the area too.

You sound like you have a ton or relevant experience! That's great :)

I realized that I didn't tell about myself - oops!!

I'm from Rochester and attended UR for my first degree in public health. I currently work for the UR as well in a full time role within my field. I have about 2 years of patient care experience taking care of people with disabilities. That's how I discovered my passion for taking care of others!

I'm so excited to finally transition into doing clinical work and utilizing my public health background in another setting. I'm also passionate about Rochester and the community!

If anyone has questions about Rochester, URMC or anything feel free to ask me!

I'm also from the Rochester area! I had my interview mid-June, seemed to go really well. My first degree is in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Biomedical Engineering from RIT! I currently work at Strong as a Tech with the Internal Medicine office.

Sounds like we have a lot of waiting to do! Looks like most of the cohorts before us didn't hear until late Sept/early Oct.

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know if or when they will hold the second round of interviews?

Do you mean for the Masters portion if you applied for that or for the ABPNN? From what it looks like from past classes the interviews just continue through August and then decisions are made end of September/early October. For the Masters it looks like the interview isn't until after you go through the BS part.

Fingers crossed that we hear something in the next few weeks! Still not a lot of chatter on here compared to last year, anyone know if interviews are still happening?
