Hi everyone and anyone interested in applying for the U of R!

I applied for the Fall 2016 Cohort, and I noticed there hasn't been a thread started for it yet, so here I am.

Does anyone have an interview scheduled, and where are you all applying from?

Gosh I'm traveling abroad, I won't be able to make calls or receive calls without spending a fortune! Hopefully I get an email whether it's an acceptance or waitlist.... does anyone know that they send out all emails on the same day?

NYU dragged it out over the course of 2 months, it was so painful.

i applied to NYU too it was and it was soooo painful but Rochester doesn't send out emails but they do send something in the mail along with a phone call. Im sure if you emailed Nancy Kita and told her your situation, she would tell you through email. I called and she told me I was waitlisted over the phone so I don't see the difference

I had recieved a msg from an unknown number this morning and it was from Nancy.

I will be starting school this September, and they are mailing the letter out today. It will include housing and financial information.

This has been a long journey for me, and I'm turning down PA school to become a NP. However last year I didn't have any options turn down. I told Nancy it was painful to wait so long to hear news.

Yup, I was also placed on the wait list! Does anyone know when people on the wait list typically hear a final decision?

I asked and she said we could hear from them up until the Friday before the program begins.... which makes me nervous bc I don't live around there and would need to find a place to live

That's pretty ridiculous and seems nearly impossible. If that's the case I will be starting another program I was accepted into by that time anyway, which sucks since Rochester really is my first choice. Good luck to all of you who are banking on Rochester!

I emailed Elaine last night and got a response back this morning saying I will be admitted for Fall and the letter is mailed and I should receive confirmation within two weeks!

I also got waitlisted by University of Rochester nursing.

Does anyone know how long you typically have to wait for the list to dwindle down? Do you guys believe that people will actually turn down the offer and go through the waitlist. Also, I am not sure if this is true, but if we don't get in this time, are we guarantee a spot for the next cycle?
