Back to your topic! I applied as well! I had my interview last Thursday! The interviewer (a professor) told me that the results won't be out until June!

Hey everyone! I had my interview the 17th & I was also told we would receive our results in June. I'm applying from Orange County, CA! I think i stressed way too much, when in reality, the interview was quite informal!

I think it was quite informal. I've heard from another applicant that she only got 1 questions (why do you want to be a nurse) and the rest was the interviewer telling her about the program. I got a different interviewer, she asked quite a few questions, such as, why did I make the change from what I'm studying now to nursing, what do I think are the important traits for a nurse, what traits do I have that make me think I'll be a good nurse, why did I apply to Rochester, what commitments do I have outside of school..... etc.

But I'll say it's still pretty informal, some of the times one question led to another, and the interviewer was genuinely interested in why I'm thinking about nursing.

I have my interview this Thursday March 31st. I was surprised to get a call for it so soon. I am from Rochester currently in Syracuse for my undergrad.

Someone called the week of Mar 6th to schedule a phone interview. I had it scheduled Mar 15th, and she gave me the name on the interviewer. I googled her prior to the interview to see her role in the program since I was told she was a faculty member. I found out she is about my same age and is pursing her Doctorate.

The questions included:

1. What do you think is the role of a nurse?

2. What qualities do you think a nurse should have?

3. Why do you want to be a nurse?

4. This is an accelerated program that has a test every Monday, what makes you think you will be a good candidate for the program?

Afterwards, I spent 15 minutes picking her brain for more information about the program. Attrition rates? Post-graduation opportunities? Academic support?. I had my boyfriend prep me the night before the interview since he is already in medical school and has superior interview experience than me. When a interviewer asks, "Do you have anymore questions?" have a few ready to go.

She told me admitted students would be notified in June! That month cannot come sooner.

I am from the Bay Area, CA and currently live in NYC. I am ready for snow. Clean snow.

GFizzle your interview was definitely more of an interview!

It's going to hit the 7th week since the application was due on Tuesday. I can't believe we still have a month or so until we find out, the wait is killing me!
