University of Rochester ABPNN Fall 2012

Hello Everybody:

I decided to make this new thread for the students that are applying to the ABPNN (University of Rochester) for the fall 2012. I have been reading other posts from previous cohorts, but haven't found anyone for the fall 2012 cohort. I sent my application a few days ago, so now I'm in the WAITING process. Does anyone know how long is going to take them to have the final results? Any comments will be appreciated and will help us to stay on top of the GAME!! Good luck to all of you!!:up:

RocRooms is pretty reasonable, I think between $400-$600? The location is AWESOME though and totally worth it especially if you're coming from California. Actually, I know two girls in my program whose roommate is moving out in August and they are looking for a replacement. It's furnished and super close to school, in the White Coat Ghetto. If you're interested maybe I can connect you guys! I came from orange county too, San Clemente. And let me warn you, it was def kind of a shock! Enjoy the beach all you can this summer!!! But you'll love Rochester, time flies and it's only a year. Winter might be terrifying though :)

Well I'm not attending for Fall but congratulations to everyone who made it through! :) I am planning for the Spring cohort and I got a call for a interview today, and it's been only 2 days since they started reviewing applications (surprised it was this fast). Interview is scheduled for July 17..any advice how to tackle it and what questions they ask?

Hey everyone!

I am so excited to have found this thread! I have been accepted to ABPNN program for this fall too. I am currently living in Rochester and grew up just outside of the city. It's my favorite city but of course I'm biased :) I would love to meet some of you through these threads! I am so looking forward to starting the program. My undergrad is in Vocal Performance (opera) but I have alwasy been interested in nursing. Glad to have joined these conversations and look forward to chatting more!

Has anyone heard back regarding the waitlist? Or do any accepted students know if they're even utilizing it this cohort? (fingers crossed!)

Hey guys! Has anyone received any other information from the program other than the initial acceptance package? I have already sent in my deposit and the other paperwork that they wanted by June 29th, and they have recieved it. I was wondering if anyone has received their FAFSA or registration packet yet?

I havent gotten anything else yet.. I think registration opens August 1st. Have you planed where to live?

I called the financial aid office today. They said we will be receiving information via email, but didn't say when.

i have the same question as nonnahs917. has anyone, who was formerly placed on the waitlist, gained admission to the program? i called a few days ago asking if they were reviewing students that were on the waitlist since accepted students should have responded to the offer by june 29. whoever i spoke to said they were still waiting to hear back from some accepted students but she couldn't tell me when they will start picking people from the waitlist (i didn't think i was getting an accurate response from her as she sounded like she was annoyed).

does anyone know when?

Yup, I actually just signed a lease through RocRooms for a place on Congress, I guess its 0.4 miles from campus. It's a pretty good deal, $475 a month including utilities. I'm super excited to get started!

I actually spoke to ***** yesterday regarding the waiting list. She said that they are going to be making decisions about candiadates for it sometime this week and then they are going to be calling those people to offer them admission. I was told that the waitlist is hit or miss, last cohort they took everyone off the waitlist, however sometimes they don't take anyone off the wait list. So keep your fingers crossed!! I really hope to get called off the waitlist!

Has anyone else had trouble logging onto the Accepted Students FB page? I copy/pasted: University of Rochester ABPNN start Fall 2012 and nothing came up...
