Nursing Students SRNA

Hello, is anyone applying to University of Pittsburgh's CRNA program for Spring 2025?

Specializes in Cvicu.

I would definitely add it. Above 300 is great and this will set you apart from many. If you don't mind me asking what were your scores in Aw and the rest?

I took it twice. Got a better overall score the second time.
Verbal: 156

Quant: 151

AW: 3.0 ? , went down from the first one which was 3.5.

Specializes in ICU.

Did anyone make it to the virtual info session today? I had to work so didn't get to attend. Any useful info appreciated greatly!

For those that applied - did you receive a confirmation email or anything from them? I had two applications get verified and I received an email from the other school but not from Pitt

Yes, I received a confirmation email a day after I applied that my application was complete.

Specializes in CCRN-CMC.

Hey all! Question about adding the GRE. I got above a 300 but some of the sections I scored less than 50th percentile. Wondering if anyone (past or present applicants) had some insight on how this would look if I added/omitted this. Thanks!

I know a few people who got interviews as well as accepted with a similar score set up. And that was when the GRE was required. You should be good, send it

Specializes in Medical-Surgical ICU.

I went to an info session last week and they said the first interview is set for the end of march. There will be 4 dates, 2 virtual, 2 in person. The first one is virtual then it switches. Hopefully we hear soon about interviews, fingers crossed. They look like they are all on Fridays.

When I went to the info session they said GRE was supplemental but doesn't factor into their score system from my understanding so it shouldn't put too much weight into your score.

Specializes in Critical care.

Wondering how many pages other applicants wrote for the essay. There are 7 prompts we have to answer to.

Specializes in MICU, STICU, CTICU, CCRN-CSC-CMC.

I think my personal statement ended up being 4 pages. I used transitions for each question and felt I was concise and thorough.

Thank you.

Mine was 2. I feel like you start losing people after that haha and most schools have a 2 page limit.
