It is quite normal to be nervous! In all fairness to the school and those who have interviewed already I don't think it's a good idea for me to share interview information. Schools spend a lot of effort on setting up processes to attract their ideal candidate and I believe an interview process is one of those things. You have to also use the interview process to evaluate the school to see if it's a good fit. Practice the best you can and just know that you will not know the answers to everything.

Haha, we would have been in the same class had I made the choice. My friend is in your class and it seems like your program is very supportive. I haven't heard the last of her school making it to number 2 whiles mine ... you know ?. It's good that you are here supportive of the next gen!

That is true! due to the long wait I accepted and paid down on another program. when the call finally came that I got into Pitt I decided to stay with the other program instead. My best friend also got into Pitt and is currently in the program and by all indications she made the best choice than I did. I kick myself each time, I like my school as well but everything I hear about Pitts program makes me wish I had chosen this school.

It's the school's choice on who they choose on the part-time basis. Part-time usually only means that you will be starting full-time the subsequent year which for your cohort will be (2026). So after the acceptance, the school sent us an email on clearance we need to get before school and we also had a zoom townhall meeting to go over expectations for research as well as to answer any questions we may have. They also communicated our orientation date and class schedules. Good luck with the process, there is a lot of waiting in between but it's definitely worth it. Just do your best to apply early .- University of Pittsburgh CRNA 2025 Start
Hi there! During the past interview session I had similar questions about the GPA on NursingCAS and I wasn't sure if I wanted to submit my application. I submitted my application, interviewed and got in . This is what I was told by a current student ****Pitt uses your BSN GPA in a sense - that is, they use the GPA printed on the transcript which conferred your BSN. While they do use NursingCAS, they use it more as an application tool to stream line things rather than relying on it for other admissions functions. They do not utilize the transcript feature on NursingCAS nor do they utilize GPAs calculated from NursingCAS. After submission, you will see some GPAs calculated by NursingCAS, but they are not used or considered. Pitt takes a very human and holistic approach with their entire selection process. This GPA requirement is meant to be a more inclusive factor because it really is just takes into account the nursing courses and affiliated sciences as opposed to every class you ever took. Feel free to reach if you have any other questions!
