University of Pittsburgh CRNA Spring 2023

Updated:   Published

Sorta surprised that there is no post for this current application for Pitt, especially since the application deadline is a month away. Decided to make this thread for people looking to discuss the application process.

Anyone applying to Pitt? I made a last minute decision to apply just a few days ago, so I'm trying to get all of my things in order to submit on time, haha.

Agreed! Ngl, it was sorta great to relax over the long weekend knowing they weren’t going to call or email ?

Yeah it was nice. We should reach out and see if there is an updated timeframe. If word went out, someone would’ve mentioned it.

Totally agree! Are you volunteering? ??

At the moment, no I wasn’t volunteering. I’d consider it later this week if we don’t hear anything.

Anyone subscribing to the “no news is good news” thought process? Do we know for certain that they haven’t started to weed the list by email?

I also have not heard anything. I really hope it’s by the end of this week though. I don’t know how much more I can take LOL.

I also haven’t heard anything. It’ll be a long weekend if they do not reach out by tomorrow!

Like in business, maybe they're waiting until tomorrow to notify as it is a Friday, and will be out of office for the weekend.

I sure hope so haha. Seems like they like Thursday as all the interviews have been on Thursday as well? Haha

One thing that keeps playing in my mind is how many people would openly admit that they weren't accepted on a public forum. Sending an email is an easy part of the administrative process and one they would most likely do first.

This forum is relatively anonymous and everyone here seems to be really on board with transparency, so if someone got a rejection letter I think they would’ve posted it here.

Also, they specifically said that they would call us before they emailed us and I feel like they would call those accepted before sending out  rejection emails. I hope ?

Someone on last year’s forum said they got a rejection letter via email and then a bunch of people right after said they’d been called with acceptances. So I wonder if they do it all on the same day.

That might be true. They may send all the emails out as a blast and then slowly call individuals
