Sorta surprised that there is no post for this current application for Pitt, especially since the application deadline is a month away. Decided to make this thread for people looking to discuss the application process. 

Anyone applying to Pitt? I made a last minute decision to apply just a few days ago, so I'm trying to get all of my things in order to submit on time, haha.

As an update, I reached out to the admissions office and got a response stating that they're still in the process of selecting students and they are in discussions of how many students they feel comfortable accepting. Sounds to me like they have a lot of good people and are going to have to make some tough choices! Perhaps they may admit a few more than normal due to the fact that we're all super awesome ?

Yep! They said up to 2 more weeks. Hang in there, guys!

They have to give us a buffered timeframe. At the end of 2 weeks, it would look bad if a decision still wasn't made. Hang in there and we should know soon enough!

Did anyone else apply priory deadline and still has not heard anything back? I interviewed in April LOL

I was late May and I am already going crazy! Id guess that’s still good news for you as you’re still in consideration. Do you know if anyone from your interview group has heard about decisions?

Haha April for me too. The wait has been gruesome to say the least. You almost forget about it after this long but also… think about it daily

I can’t imagine waiting since April LOL. I was late June and it’s felt like forever! Does anyone know how many interview groups that makes since April that are waiting to hear back?

There was April, may and June interviews. I think 1 each month

Portion of the late April group (unclear if all of the group or a portion of the group are waiting on decisions)

Then everyone from the May group and both June groups. So 3.5(ish) groups, which is likely ~70 or so people waiting to hear back. 
 

Who knows how many spots are actually available, haha.

There were 4-5 of us commenting about getting offers after the first round of interviews in late March. Not sure how many ultimately accepted. I did :)

For what, around 20 spots, plus how many part-time slots. I’m thinking mid next week they’ll let us know. ??
