Hi I am new to this website. I was wondering if anyone has applied for 2014/2015 CRNA program at University of Pitt and are still waiting on March interviews? I turned in my application mid December and then beginning of January they sent me another form to fill out? Anyone that has interviewed already is that a good sign that I may get an interview with them? Do they call you to notify you if you have an interview, any idea when that may be? Anyone know stats on how many people they interview and how many people usually get in? Sorry lots of questions, getting kind of anxious since I have not heard back yet. Thanks for any info!

Has anyone who has been accepted to the 2014/2015 class heard anything further from Pitt? When I got the call he said they were going to email more information a something to fill out verifying that we are accepting our positions. Has anyone gotten any emails from them?

hey guys! I am starting in spring 2015. I am moving from out of state, and am looking for recommendations on where to live. so far I know shady side, squirrel hill… any recommendations on where NOT to live? I am moving by myself, just looking for a one bedroom/studio townhouse or apt. any help is appreciated. thanks!

i'm moving from out of state as well. i've heard from people that live in pittsburgh that lawrenceville and regent square are good areas in addition to the ones you mentioned. i'm not so sure about places to avoid.

I applied for the Fall 2015 start date for UPitt's Nurse Anesthesia Program in September 2014 and received a call this week for an interview in November. Does anyone have any advice on the interview process at UPitt?

Not sure if you out of staters are still looking, but be really careful with Lawrenceille. If it seems too good to be true, it's probably pretty shady. Anywhere in that area that I can afford, I know to stay away from...On the other hand, if you can afford 1000-1500/month in rent, or are sharing space, you will be in a GREAT area. Bike to work, grocery, ect. Fantastic restaurants. Someone mentioned Squirrel Hill/Shadyside - VERY nice, somewhat expensive, bit of a commute in the rushes, unless you guys know of back roads that I don't.

Hello guys,

I will be interviewing next week. I am hoping you guys could help me. What should I expect for interview questions? I can handle behavioral questions, but I am quite worried about clinical questions. I took my CCRN a while back then, and I could do well with testing questions on paper. Also I am good to recognize things and perform well under stressed during codes, but I am not sure how I would do the same when asked in front of a group of people. Could anyone give me some general topics I should review before I get to my interview on Weds? Thanks!

I also applied this year. Got mine turned in Jan the 7th. What was your turn around time for contact regarding the interview? Did they send you an email or snail mail or a telephone call? Just curious, I've bitten through most of my fingernails, starting on the left foot!! haha

Hi there,

They emailed and also called you for setting up interviews. About 2 or 3 weeks after I turned in my application. They should call you soon because the second round interview dates are mid Feb though.

I did not get called back for the first round, but for others they also called right the next following week for couple selected ones. I am waiting for the final decisions, which will be by the end of Feb after the second round of interview. I already got accepted to another school, ^^ so I don't have to hold my breath for Pitts either way. Best of lucks to ya.
