Hi All,
I'm new to this site and to the field of nursing. Has anyone gone to this school and if so, what did you think?
I live in San Diego, CA, and there is an online program that this school offers. I'm 3 prerequisites away from applying to the school, with a start date of August 08. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone receive an orientation e-mail?
Just got this in my inbox:

I just got the e-mail about the open house on December 15th from 8:30-1:30. Is anyone going to take the CPR class being offered after orientation on Jan 5th and 6th?
Sungrl 22,
Yep, I will be attending the CPR class. I still need to work out the open house situation. My micro final is that morning from 8-10 am in Moreno Valley. I am hoping either my professor will work something out with me or that I can come late to orientation. I won't know until later this week.

Oh, I hope you can work something out but I'm sure he/she will be willing to work with you. My physiology final is December 16th so I will probably be studying later that night, lol. I already sent an e-mail requesting to reserve a spot in the January 6th class. I was just curious if other people were going to take it too or take it on their own sometime in December.

I am sure it will work out...just frustrating. I just registered for the CPR class and asked for Jan 6th as well. I thought about taking it elsewhere prior to, but it just seems easier to get it out of the way that same day.
Looks like the event dates are different between the campuses... does anyone know when the Glendale start date might be? I looked at the official OUHSC calendar and it appears to suggest 1/19 (which to me seems late in Jan).
Also, what are the lengths of breaks between semesters-- maybe 2 weeks? It's kinda stressful that people need to make plans for the next year and half with only a month and half notice...

sorry to ask so many questions but do the prerequisites have an expiration date? and can you have pending classes when you apply? I'm having trouble finding an open Microbio class- I've been scouring from the IE to Santa Monica for a open microbio class. I cant register for Santa monica until 2nd week in december- hopefully i get in a class. If not summer school is my best bet.
Not sure where you live but at Chaffey (Rancho Cucamonga, Chino, Fontana) community college there are lots of online courses for psych and sociology (some may be hybrid) hopefully you can get in. I have most of those classes done- not sure about the chem- Currently enrolled in a chemistry for general education class. Not Chemistry 1. I wonder if that would count.
