Hey! I haven't seen a post for this yet, but is anyone out there applying to OU's ABSN program for 2017 matriculation?

Received the email that I was waitlisted...which I honestly was not expecting, AT ALL. I for sure thought a denial was in place for me. I applied to Lawton & OKC, Lawton being my first preference. Congrats to all that got in! & to those of us waiting...don't give up hope :)

Waitlisted. I received an email stating I was waitlisted today. I applied for both the OKC and Tulsa programs. Is it safe to assume that this email is confirming that I've been placed on "alternate" status for both programs? My application still states pending by both programs. Any clarification would be most welcomed. Congrats to those who were accepted!

Do you think they would tell me how many apps they got for OKC and how many they accepted if I emailed them?

Thank you for reaching out to us. This was a very competitive applicant pool with 367 total applicants. We accepted only 96 for admission. This means we do have a robust wait list with many applicants still available if a spot should become available

"Robust wait list" - I wonder if that means they have a lot of people on there, or if the people on here are of an exceptional quality... or both?

I emailed back asking for specific numbers on how many they outright denied so that we can do the math. I'll post when she emails back

It is rather difficult to give indications. For example, last year we had multiple students admitted from the wait list at the Oklahoma City campus but very few in Tulsa. Since there are so many variables that lead to a spot becoming available it is unfair to project how many spots might become available this year.

Yea. I emailed her and she told me that the average admitted was a 3.6. I assume she meant last 60 gpa.

I'm over it. Im starting the other program I got into in Spring. Good luck guys!

I know that in the early enrollment for the Traditional Nursing at OU there was 10 days allowed to accept their admission offer. Can anyone who got into the ABSN tell me if it was the same for you? Hopefully some spots will open up soon for us alternates now that it has been long enough for people to reject some offers.
