University of Oklahoma ABSN 2017

Published

Hey! I haven't seen a post for this yet, but is anyone out there applying to OU's ABSN program for 2017 matriculation?

Anybody else gotten in off the waitlist? I'm guessing spots will probably open up around March-ish when most other schools send out acceptance letters. Did most of y'all also apply to the traditional program they offer too?

Hey dphom,

We were advised to brush up on Anatomy and Physiology. How crucial is this for doing well going into June? I guess what I'm asking is do I need to study all of the artery names, nerve names, etc. and for phys do I need to know it down to the letter again? Or just do a general review of the subjects? Thanks!

They say that... but we all never did! :) I don't find it necessary unless it's been years upon years since you've had any type of anatomy or physiology and don't remember what a body part would be if they were to mention it. It really comes back to you during school, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. And, if it's really something they want you to know, they'll do a quick review to refresh because they know it's been a little while. Enjoy your time before nursing school starts! Congrats again!

Haley, there's still lots of hope left on the waitlist for the ABSN program. I think a big chunk, if not half of my cohort were people off the waitlist. Some people got accepted 2 weeks prior to classes starting. Stay patient!
