University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) Traditional BSN Spring 2025

So I saw that UNTHSC in Fort Worth is starting a traditional BSN program. This differs from their MSN program and the RN-BSN program. It is what I am assuming brand new, meaning this may be the first or second class. I wanted to know if anyone else was applying and what their stats were.

Congrats to everyone who was accepted into the program! 

I'm having trouble understanding what the "free electives" are in the prerequisites section of the BSN program. Does anyone have an example of the type of classes they will accept in this section?

How is the program so far? Are you guys the first cohort?

You already got your acceptance for Fall 2025? When did decisions get sent out OMG. I haven't heard anything back 😞

They're just various electives and can basically be anything. I took a few different psychology classes, First Aid, and Genetics to meet the requirements.

Some people have already gotten in under early action, though I'm not sure the exact amount. The rest of the applicants should hear back by the first of April!

Yes! I applied for Fall of 2025 and I got waitlisted and I'm not sure how long that takes but I hope I get in. Does anyone know how long it takes until they get back to you about being waitlisted?

I got waitlisted as well, hoping it doesn't take too long to hear back from them!
