Hello,
I have been searching throughout this forum hoping someone will start a thread for University of MN MSN Fall 2020 admission. I applied for the Masters of Nursing program and will like to connect with others who applied at the University of Minnesota as well.
I am nervous my student profile won't be strong enough, so I just needed to chat with other aspiring nurses to manage the anxiety I feel waiting for an interview email.
Has anyone heard from the admissions team yet?
Best of luck to all who applied.

I'm sorry! It would have been nice to be in a cohort with you. Have you thought about applying to St. Kate's? They have a similar Direct Entry MSN program that starts in the Spring of 2021. Their application is due at the end of June and they also use NursingCAS.

Thank you, I will definitely look into it. I like the U because of the length, but St Kate's allows me to keep my day job while taking classes. That might be exactly what I was looking for.
Hello! I am so happy to found this thread. I applied to the UMN Masters Nursing program and just heard back with an invitation to interview!

Congrats!!! When did you sign up for? I chose Tuesday morning, 2/4. Everthing thing I've read says it's pretty conversational but it's hard not to try and prepare since it's so far out! I'm doing my best not to think about it for now, haha.
@ash_alford Congratulations!!!!! So happy for you! I’m on Tuesday at 1045! I think it will be conversational. An opportunity to share stories that have shaped our journey to readiness for this program and a new career! I’m excited and grateful for the opportunity.
@lhanka and @ash_alford I am also interviewing on Tuesday, 2/4, at 11:30! I'm hoping the interview will be more conversational (I haven't done professional interviews in about 5 years, so I'm a bit nervous) but I'm looking over common questions for nursing programs, so I'm not caught unawares. I'm very excited for this opportunity as well, and wishing you both the best!
