Hello,
I have been searching throughout this forum hoping someone will start a thread for University of MN MSN Fall 2020 admission. I applied for the Masters of Nursing program and will like to connect with others who applied at the University of Minnesota as well.
I am nervous my student profile won't be strong enough, so I just needed to chat with other aspiring nurses to manage the anxiety I feel waiting for an interview email.
Has anyone heard from the admissions team yet?
Best of luck to all who applied.
Just in case someone who is interested reads my post, I contacted the school today and was told they will be sending out emails late this week or early next week for those selected to be interviewed.
Interviews will be held between February 3-6, 2020.

Thank you for making this! I am anxiously awaiting an interview email! I will post if I get one.
Also, I feel like my GRE is going to weigh me down, what do you mean by your student profile? @jaredsmom
and just to clarify you're applying to the program that is for non-nurses, right?

Glad I finally found a post for this program! The UofM is definitely my top choice and I’m so anxious waiting for the interview emails. Good luck everyone!
How did the application process feel for you guys? It was my first time using NursingCAS so I’m just hoping I didn’t miss anything!
Also, for those of your finishing prerequisites: you can update course grades from last semester in the transcript section now!

Good luck to you too! Do you know if you can update your degree? I just graduated in December

I was lucky I didn't need a GRE since I have a Masters degree. What I meant by student profile was my "application profile... so documents submitted". I have been working in higher education for a long time, and I felt like I didn't really explain like I wanted why I am now thinking of changing careers. I hope I wrong.

Yes I am. My other degrees aren't in a nursing field.

NursingCAS seemed daunting at first, but I like how if you are missing something the section will read "incomplete". That really helped me know I needed to add or make some changes.

Hopefully they look at everything and not just one component of the requirements. But we need to stay positive...

I believe there should be a dropbox for the university you’re attending/have attended that you can change “Still Attending” to “Completed.” Is this what you mean?
Heres the NursingCAS Academic Update FAQ site: https://www.nursingcas.org/resource/academic-update-how-to-log-final-grades-in-nursingcas/
Has anyone heard anything yet?
I just got an email instructing me to sign up for an interview slot! I was starting to think we might have to wait until next week but, I’m happy I don’t have to wait out the weekend. Anyone else?
