  1. Hi, When did you submit your application for St Kate, MSN?
  2. I submitted my application yesterday. My undergraduate GPA was 2.84, but I have a Masters degree in counseling with a GPA of 3.58, so I had to answer the supplemental questions on why I didn't meet all requirements. I hope that doesn't affect my chances. I really wanna be a nurse :-)
  3. Thank you, I will definitely look into it. I like the U because of the length, but St Kate's allows me to keep my day job while taking classes. That might be exactly what I was looking for.
  4. Congratulations! I am happy for you. I received my rejection letter just now. I feel really sad, but everything happens for a reason.
  5. Has anyone heard anything yet?
  6. Hi Ashante, Was going through looking for past forums when I fell on yours. There is actually another forum for the U and its Fall 2020 applicants. "University of Minnesota MSN Fall 2020" I guess with different wordings, it will be hard for people to find each other...lol To answer your questions, the application process was okay. I unfortunately do not have experience in the health field. My undergrad degree was in Biology, and my Masters in Education. I have been working as an Academic advisor since 2014. I always wanted to do Nursing, but since my undergrad GPA wasn't the best, I was intimidated. However, a lot has changed since I was in college and have decided to give it a try. I only applied to the U, therefore, I really need to get accepted. Best of luck to us!
  7. Hopefully they look at everything and not just one component of the requirements. But we need to stay positive...
  8. Yes I am. My other degrees aren't in a nursing field. NursingCAS seemed daunting at first, but I like how if you are missing something the section will read "incomplete". That really helped me know I needed to add or make some changes.
  9. I was lucky I didn't need a GRE since I have a Masters degree. What I meant by student profile was my "application profile... so documents submitted". I have been working in higher education for a long time, and I felt like I didn't really explain like I wanted why I am now thinking of changing careers. I hope I wrong.
  10. Just in case someone who is interested reads my post, I contacted the school today and was told they will be sending out emails late this week or early next week for those selected to be interviewed. Interviews will be held between February 3-6, 2020.
  11. Hello, I have been searching throughout this forum hoping someone will start a thread for University of MN MSN Fall 2020 admission. I applied for the Masters of Nursing program and will like to connect with others who applied at the University of Minnesota as well. I am nervous my student profile won't be strong enough, so I just needed to chat with other aspiring nurses to manage the anxiety I feel waiting for an interview email. Has anyone heard from the admissions team yet? Best of luck to all who applied.
