University of Michigan (UofM) Accelerated program

Hi everyone!!! I am new to allnurses.com - I was wondering if anyone has applied for the Fall 2009 accelerated program? I have not been able to attend an information session due to scheduling conflicts. Does anyone know how many people apply to the program or know any "insider" info? I know that 50 people get in every year - I just submited my application last week for the early response deadline - good luck to all!!

Thanks for the update, jessxfm. I'm so eager to learn more about the new program and was hoping we wouldn't have to wait until the end of July (orientation) to find out some more details.

Just giving those still waiting a heads up that the SON is now incorporating the two-week skills workshop that used to start mid-August into the regular semester, so the program won't begin until the start of the official fall semester (after Labor Day).

Just wondering if anyone has news regarding "waitlisted" candidates for UM Accelerated BSN candidates for Fall 2012? Has anyone been contacted or picked up into the program yet? Any idea if any "waitlisted" candidates will actually be picked up this Summer as "accepted"? Just wondering if there is still a chance at being taken off the "wailist" and actually being "accepted" for Fall 2012.

Hi - That is great! Good for you. Did you recently get "accepted" for this Fall 2012 beginning in Sept 2012? Or are you a current student already in the program? When did you get contacted and taken off of the "waitlist"? I am also on the "waitlist" for this 2012 year but have not yet been contacted.

He's a current student this year that got in off the waitlist last year, and not sure exactly when he got in, but I know some of my classmates got in as late as 48 hours before skills blitz (which for us was two weeks before classes started, give or take)
