University of Michigan (UofM) Accelerated program

Hi everyone!!! I am new to allnurses.com - I was wondering if anyone has applied for the Fall 2009 accelerated program? I have not been able to attend an information session due to scheduling conflicts. Does anyone know how many people apply to the program or know any "insider" info? I know that 50 people get in every year - I just submited my application last week for the early response deadline - good luck to all!!

I can't believe they didn't release any decisions before the application deadline. So much for rolling admissions!

I know they don't care but it is actually very inconsiderate of the college to keep us waiting this long. They say, "You can't work while in this program." so don't we need as much time as possible to plan our lives accordingly? Ugh they make me soooooo mad!

I know it's frustrating guys but try to keep your chin up. Last year's notices actually came out early compared to previous years. I also seem to remember being told that the head of the program was out for personal reasons last semester so they probably got a late start looking at apps. I empathize with you, though. It's irritating but you WILL have plenty of time to get your life in order before the program starts if you're accepted. :)

Thanks musician's wife! If the head of the program was taking time off that could definitely explain why they haven't made any decisions yet.

You guys should start hearing soon, my friend nick and i heard feb 1, but we're current u of m students who are graduating so that could have something to do with it....but idk

jessxfm -- you heard from the Accelerated BSN program already for fall 2011 start? did you get in?

i dont think the fact that you are a current student has anything to do w it. im a very recent grad.

Nick did, he got in, I called and they said they're almost done reviewing mine and I should get my decision this week, but who knows because they've said that before; and it doesn't really make sense with rolling admission, because I applied the first week of august and he applied in december, but i don't know, just trying to help

Believe me I've already thought of that and been ****** because nick also skipped half of our patho classes at u of m and copied notes from me or my friend, while getting worse grades, but oh well, lifes not fair, hopefully they start giving the rest of us answers and we got in as well to soften that blow :)
