Hello guys! I haven't been able to find a forum for this upcoming cohort. I just finished submitting my application a few days ago and just recently received my canelink credentials. How's everyone else rolling along?

@ICUbaddie92 I am from Palm bay FL about 3 to 3 and half hours from the school and have two kids.

Specializes in CVICU, MICU & SICU.

Got my denial email at 2:50. Did not interview. Good luck to everyone!

Are you male, female? And your how does your spouse feel. I only ask because it seems that men don't get as hard of a time from leaving their family as women do. I'm about 4 hours away from UM and my husband is having a hard time with the idea of us needing to leave and I haven't even brought up the idea of just me moving. I just don't know many people in my situation. My husband has known about my plans for CRNA school since I met him 8 1/2 years ago.

@ICUbaddie92 I am sorry to hear that ?. I am a female but my husband is a nurse as well so he is understanding. He knows I always wanted to further my education in nursing. I have my parents close to home as well that help us out a lot. I know not everyone circumstances are the same but really hope it works out for you ♥️?? and nothing but positive vibes.

Specializes in SICU.

I did my BSN at FIU. I've been in SICU/CVICU for almost 4 years now, CCRN, charge/preceptor experience, and I think my overall undergrad GPA is 3.8

I got my denial email today as well and did not interview. I recently passed by CCRN (last week) and I'm working on completing shadow hours. I wonder if they are able to specifically tell you what made them not accept your admission.

I totally understand this. I applied this cycle with a newborn and I have an older kid as well..I'm not able to move around so south Florida is a must for me. My husband freaked out at the thought of me applying to Kaiser or FGCU on the west coast.

Don't be afraid to reach out and ask for feedback. I know employers respect that because they know you are looking to improve yourself for future opportunities

Is there anyone from Tampa bay area or anywhere far from UM or any other far school that is married with children?

I live in Alaska and have a 4 month old! ?

I'm originally from Tampa though, so that's why I'm applying to Florida schools. Much better family support down there.

OMG! Will you be leaving your 4 month old or are you all moving?

Do you guys think they already send the first part of acceptance letters? I don't understand how they do it?

@CRNALoading I was wondering the same thing. I was also wondering if the interviews that they are doing now is to consider them as a wait list. Either way trying to stay hopeful ??. This waiting process is brutal LOL
