  1. I agree. I don't have the most amazing stats, but I have almost 7 years of nursing and 4 of EMT. My GRE wasn't great, my overall GPA was a 3.31 (not even the cut off for the overall on the website), and my last 60 were 3.53. My science was 3.6 I believe. I retook organic chemistry and stats. I have my PALS, ACLS & BLS and CCRN. Needless to say I was shocked when I was invited for an interview. During my interview they asked about my previous grades (I wasn't the best student in my younger years) and I admitted that and what I've done to change and overcome my previous struggles. I am in no way the ideal candidate, but I'd like to believe that they saw my application as a whole and gave me a chance, to my surprise, I was accepted. I was myself and I interview with honesty and enthusiasm. Before this application I have applied a total of 5 times (different schools) waitlisted twice and rejected 3 times. don't give up. You have a solid profile, but work on your interview. Be yourself and make them smile and they'll see that you're an awesome fit for the program. Best of luck to you!
  2. Just made one! Here is the WPB cohort FB group! ? Look at this post on facebook https://www.facebook.com/share/C5c4yvcJvg5qh7Ww/?mibextid=K35XfP
  3. I just got the call that I am accepted to the West Palm Beach campus!! ??
  4. On the myBarry login! And yes! Same! Hopefully soon ??
  5. No I haven't gotten accepted yet! LOL It's for the ANE Course that I'm taking in January not the actual program for May. It says "Congratulations and welcome! You have been accepted into Barry University and the College of Health and Wellness for the No Degree Awarded - Health Sciences program.” I wonder what it says when you are accepted to the CRNA program.
  6. my app status says congratulations but it's for the ANE non degree seeking ?
  7. I honestly did too! It was a very down to earth interview. I'm going for West Palm. Good luck! They said this week I think ?
  8. Hope everyone's interviews went well this past week. Hope to hear something soon ?
  9. Best advice I got is to pick one patient and scenario and stick with them. Study everything about it and when they see that you're competent and confident in your answers to MoveOn. You were in control of the enemy, just because you work in a specialized unit doesn't mean that the one that longer. So it's truly up to you to talk about when you want to talk about. You got this!
  10. I have CVICU/SICU experience. I guess I will just be picking one patient demographic and sticking to it, nothing too crazy. Like everyone says if you're going to bring it up, be prepared to talk about it and know about it. I'm not trying to pick anything crazy. I'm also applying to the West Palm Beach campus! From what I heard it seems to be a pretty personal interview with emphasis on emotional intelligence questions.
  11. there was a phone call followed by an email confirmation.
  12. I was pretty close to reaching out to the coordinator but I just decided to wait. We kind of applied pretty close to the deadline, so I figured it would take some time.
  13. My friend was waitlisted in Nov 2021 and they called her March 2022 that she was accepted. Ask them if you can do anything to increase your chances. Retake GRE, ANE course, etc.
  14. Last 60 credits 3.53, 5 years ICU, 3 years medic, CCRN, Charge RN, preceptor, shadowed a CRNA 48 hours. GRE 308. She called me today and I have an interview Dec 1st. So a good amount of time to prep.
  15. Just got a phone call for an interview! ? stay by your phones!
