University of Miami accelerated nursing program Spring 2017

Hello,

I'm applying to the accelerated nursing program for Spring of 2017. I was wondering if any of you are applying also and where you are in the application process? I feel like I may have a started the application a little late and I'm wondering if that'll lower my chances of getting in.

I received the acceptance by mail today as well (a few days later).

Where did u guys receive your acceptance? Canelink or just by email? And were your transcripts in nursingcas verified when u got the acceptance? Canelink doesn't really help. All u can do is change settings and check application status! Thats pretty much it. It still says incomplete.

I received it by email, canelink & snail mail. I'm assuming my transcripts were verified (sent them early).

Congrats to those already accepted! Do you guys mind sharing your stats and date you submitted your application?

3.7 GPA, submitted my app in July. Transcripts were verified end of July. Also applied for the scholarship in July, and got back an email recently saying they received my application. Interviews usually takes place in December, with results being told no later than end of December. So now just playing the waiting game, whoop whoop.

Really close to the deadline now! Did anyone else get an e-mail about sending transcripts directly to the SNHS?

I didn't get anything yet. NursingCAS still verifying my transcripts. Checked CaneLink, it just says application incomplete. This monday, nursingCAS asked for additional information about the transfer credits that I received from a 'college no' program where I took college classes in senior year of high school. I just requested those transcripts on tuesday but they have not processed them yet. Hopefully nursingCAS will receive them before Aug 15th.

@capechick14 I didn't. Did your transcripts verify on NursingCAS already? If not maybe that's why, they might be reviewing your app.. How long ago did you submit?

I only just submitted this morning (MUCH later than I hoped), so that makes sense. However, UM emailed me last Friday telling me to send my transcripts directly to them as well because of the shifting cycle with NursingCAS, so they've received my transcripts as well. How long did you find it took NursingCAS to verify your transcripts?

Yea that makes sense, they verified them 2 weeks after I submitted my application.
