Hi ALL,

I wanted to start this thread for all those who applied and are interested in applying for UM's Accelerated BSN next spring (Jan 2013)!!

Has any one applied or been accepted yet?

At first, I was told they start sending letters out beginning of Dec. Then , in Oct and Nov , and rejection in Dec)))

Each time I was taking with *******.

I applied for the scholarship and once they received all of my information, they sent me the following email:

Good morning,

Thank you for your interest in the UHealth/University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s Accelerated BSN Scholarship Program. We have received your Nursing Scholarship Program Application. Should you be selected for a panel interview with nursing leadership, you will be sent an invite via email by November 12, 2012. Scholarship award decisions will be finalized and students will be notified by December 17, 2012. I wish you all the best in your educational endeavors. Please let me know if I can provide any additional information or assistance.

I heard very few students actually receive it, so I am just praying for the best! Good luck with your application process!

I spoke with ***** several times and she is very nice & VERY helpful. She explained to me, due to budget issues they will only be issuing 3 scholarships. I am not sure if anything else has changed since then. Good luck...

I spoke with someone today from admissions and she told me that letters will be out within the next 3 weeks. She believes before the end of October... but like you, I have heard several different dates.

My scholarship application was delivered on Friday Sept 31. I got a an e-mail today mid-afternoon confirming it was received.

Hi everyone!

I am so glad to hear that some of you have received an acceptance letter for the absn program this coming January! I havent received any official information regarding my status so I am waiting patiently! In the meantime, does anyone have any information regarding scholarships or any other aids? I had bright futures all throughout undergrad and now that is over I need financial support, esp for UM! Any advice?
