Hi ALL,

I wanted to start this thread for all those who applied and are interested in applying for UM's Accelerated BSN next spring (Jan 2013)!!

Has any one applied or been accepted yet?

Hey! I also plan on applying to UM's ABSN program. Haven't started my application yet. I am missing two of the pre-reqs (Nutrition and Human Growth Development). I will be taking them this fall. Consequently, I'm waiting on my Verification of Enrollment to begin the application process. I'm praying everything will work out. Getting into UM's program would be ideal because I'm dying to return to FL. Wish you all the best!!!!!

Can anyone share what how to write the essay? I'm a little lost as I've never had to submit an admissions essay...

Hi girls!

For statistics - My total GPA is 4, I have finished all my application process's in August.

Still don't have any information and constantly are told that decision will be sent in December.

So upset because i know that so many people already got there letter.

Does anyone know how many places they have left for the winter of 2013?

Hi,

I still have to complete Nutrition and Micro - this semester but I still applied to UM. I called today and they said that they will be sending out information in the next 2-3 weeks regarding acceptance. I am so nervous... Good luck :)

Well I did not apply the traditional way, as I am a readmission student. I went to UM for a semester prior to transferring to another school to complete my bachelor's. My overall GPA was a 3.34, but I'm not too sure about my Science GPA to tell you the truth. So some of you definitely have a fighting chance.

I finished micro, my last pre-req, during the summer, but had sent in my application for the ABSN program back in March. So they were definitely tired of being calling all the time to request a status update. I was considering Barry, but pulled my application because I did not like a couple of things when I went to the school for more information.

I am super excited, and a little hesitant cause I will be leaving my full time job at UM to pursue Nursing, but I know it is the right choice for me.

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know when they will officially start sending out acceptance letters for the Accelerated Nursing Program, January admission? Each time I call a get a new person with a different date.

I was told they start sending them out beginning of Oct...it was pretty vague though. Did they give you a specific date?

I have been waiting for my letter, especially since it has been raining so much in Miami and I don't want any of the information to get damaged. Hopefully they'll send it out soon...

Did any of you apply for the scholarship (deadline passed yesterday)?
