Hello :)
I am kind of early with this thread, but I am pretty excited about the possibility of starting nursing school in May! Anybody else out there considering UM's ABSN program for summer 15? Also, anybody that has gotten in the program if you don't mind sharing helpful information, please do! I will still have 3 outstanding pre-reqs that I am registered to take in Spring. My cum GPA & pre-req GPA without those last 3 classes will be a 3.3 for both. I think I have a fair chance, could be better! (and will be once I finish pre-reqs) But anyway, share your thoughts about this program if you are considering as well! & good luck :)
Hey everybody! I've been trying to make sure everything is perfect lol, it says my application is ready to submit (I know I'm taking forever) BUT .. my transcripts weren't received from nursingCAS yet, do I pay & submit or wait? & I know we have to send transcripts to UM directly, I'm guessing that is a step to take after acceptance though right?
@ambitious_shan. you can still go ahead and submit. nursingCAS lost my transcript, then told me i couldn't pick it up and send it myself, etc. so i had to send it a third time >_<.>
Thanks! @charming_kitty! I found the answer under FAQ's I was determined to find out ASAP so ready to submit lol. But wow, did your transcripts finally get received and processed?!
You actually do not send them directly to UM. They have no use for them. You send them straight to NursingCAS. If you go to the transcript page, there will be a little link you click on and a document will open. They recommend you sending the page with your transcripts if possible (totally not necessary though). However, the address that you send your transcripts to will be on the top of that paper. Have your schools send your transcripts to that address - directly to NursingCAS, NOT UM! :)
Thanks @mandaaleiigh! Your comments have been really helpful. I wish I had known the paper wasn't necessary I would have been sent it! Sigh.. Oh well. I thought I read somewhere that they needed transcripts but then again I have looked at many programs, I may be mixing things up LOL. Well everything is done now, so time to wait!
Hi everyone, I submitted my application at the end of December. I have also received a canelink and the application status is "incomplete",but to my knowledge everything has been turned in. Has anyone else run into this problem? Has anyone else had problems with the nursingcas status being updated?
@charmin_kitty,it took awhile for me. Now that I am looking at it I submitted my entire application in the middle of November and didn't get my canelink until a week and a half ago and that was after I received an email that I had to submit further information regarding the pre-reqs I am currently taking. I think it took awhile for me just because I applied really early and because of winter break.
@Krysty0214 It is incomplete on canelink. I do not really know what the status on nursingcas is because there is no status being shown on mine except for that the course work has been verified. I am mostly concerned about whether my evaluation has been received. According to their website a completed evaluation should show a status of "complete" but mine does not say that so I think my best bet is just to verify with admissions and nursingcas that the evaluation was received.
Has everyone gotten a cane link? I'm kind of freaking out because I haven't gotten mine yet...my transcripts were verified and my application was done early December but then at the end of December when I finished the semester of pre-reqs I sent the transcript again so they could update the grades and those STILL haven't been verified :-(
