University of Miami Accelerated BSN Summer 2015

I am kind of early with this thread, but I am pretty excited about the possibility of starting nursing school in May! Anybody else out there considering UM's ABSN program for summer 15? Also, anybody that has gotten in the program if you don't mind sharing helpful information, please do! I will still have 3 outstanding pre-reqs that I am registered to take in Spring. My cum GPA & pre-req GPA without those last 3 classes will be a 3.3 for both. I think I have a fair chance, could be better! (and will be once I finish pre-reqs) But anyway, share your thoughts about this program if you are considering as well! & good luck :)

Actually, I just answered my own question - did some digging in my current Canelink and found the application - it does say imcomplete in mine as well. I suppose they will let us know when it is 'complete' or what we need to do to complete it? I hope... Lol.

canesdan Yup hopefully we will hear back this week! I know they already made their decision for my application, but it still reads as incomplete. It should hopefully change by the end of the week. I'm still nervous since they never received my letter of recommendation though; but I think "incomplete" is kinda their default setting before announcing accepted or not based on other forums. The Admissions staff told me that cane links are sent out after a decision is made. I haven't received mine. When did you get yours?

charming_kitty I just tried logging in on my own to see if I was registered yet. They hadn't sent me anything. I was just curious when I saw my information (name and SSN) was already registered to an account so I called to reset my password to gain access to it. Application is still listed as incomplete though.

Thanks for the update! I just tried logging in to Canelink to see if I also had an account made using my SSN, and I did! I can only see my email info, along with some other personal info. Where do you click to see the application status?

Krysty0214 Awesome! You click the "Go to Student Center" > the tab "Self-Service"> "Student Admission" > "Application Status"

Ok, so I was originally logging into myUM. I just tried logging into Canelink and I'm receiving an error message, so maybe they haven't made a decision yet for my application. Makes sense since they only received my application last Thursday. I'll keep you updated!

To those who spoke with someone from the school and were advised that a decision had been made - did they say through what method they would inform you? By regular mail or e-mail? Thanks!

They told me I should find out via Canelink this week.

Is there is difference between myUM and Canelink? If I try to get to Canelink it takes me to myUM. Ugh!
