University of Miami Accelerated BSN Summer 2015

I am kind of early with this thread, but I am pretty excited about the possibility of starting nursing school in May! Anybody else out there considering UM's ABSN program for summer 15? Also, anybody that has gotten in the program if you don't mind sharing helpful information, please do! I will still have 3 outstanding pre-reqs that I am registered to take in Spring. My cum GPA & pre-req GPA without those last 3 classes will be a 3.3 for both. I think I have a fair chance, could be better! (and will be once I finish pre-reqs) But anyway, share your thoughts about this program if you are considering as well! & good luck :)

Yeah, she's the one who looked for my application. NursingCAS is the one with the issue, so I have to wait until they fix it :/

@Krysty0214, I spoke to her as well and she was looking through my grades so I guess it's safe to assume that they received my application.

As for U of Miami, I don't think I'll be attending unless they give me a scholarship since I've been accepted to 2 other schools.

I called again today and they told me they haven't heard back from NursingCAS yet, so they just sent them another email. They're very worried because they have no idea how many students aren't showing up on the system, so they want to resolve the issue ASAP! They also told me not to worry becuase they've already advised the admission committee, so they're going to treat my application as if I submitted early (which I did... lol). So that makes me feel better! Hopefully I hear back soon!

so i spoke with admissionsarrow-10x10.png and they said a decision was made on my application, but they wouldn't give it to me over the phone. they say after a decision has been made, they send you a cane link, and that takes about a week.

i'm so nervous!!!

@charming_kitty good luck!!

I called earlier today too to make sure if my application had arrived. They said the decision has been made and I should find out in a week. Weird thing is my letter of recomendation never came in but they still decided. My application was only verified one week ago exactly too! I'm really nervous but hoping I got in... Hopefully I get my canelink soon for the answer!!

@charming_kitty can't you check on NursingCAS? I was able to review all my GPA/transcript stuff under "Manage my program" > "Program Status"> Then download your entire application using the blue button next to the "University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies." Hope this helps! They didn't even receive my letter of recommendation and made a decision so... all scary!
