University of Miami Accelerated BSN spring 2018

Hey all, I've been waiting to see a UM ABSN 2018 thread pop up but figured I might as well start one. I submitted my application on March 17 and still waiting for NursingCAS to verify my transcripts. From what I've gathered through past threads, its a rolling admission so I'm hoping to hear back in the next few months! Curious if there's anybody else out there who has applied or planning on applying!

@dux23 I had 2 outstanding when I applied: General Psych and Micro. When I got accepted, they told me they were waiting for those 2 grades and my A&PII grade, which wasn't a prereq but I was enrolled in that class. Once all the grades were up, they directed me to send my transcripts directly to UM

@alexisb1 you should be fine with a 3.3! Is that overall or prereq GPA?

Hi all, i'm also applying for the spring 2018. All my transcripts has been received via NursingCas but have not yet been verified. I have 3 classes outstanding. Taking two of those at the moment and will be finished in 3-4 weeks. Congrats to everyone that have been accepted.

Hey Guys! Congratulations to all the ones accepted. I actually got accepted as well! yayy!! so exited. Has anyone gotten their certificate of admission? Also, it says that you need to complete a pre-immersion course, has anyone started or already did it?

Hey dux23, I wanted to apply as soon as I could but I had to wait to finish my spring semester at the end of April because they told me that 3 outstanding pre reqs was too much. I applied May 10 after my spring semester was done. I recommend calling UM and explaining your situation, and send those transcripts as soon as you are done directly to them. Best of Luck!

Hey! The cert of admission came in the mail and email a few days after canelink showed I was admitted. It asks that you sign and email it back to them. Just be advised that I had done so, and a few days later I got an email saying they hadn't received anything in the way of me accepting my admission, so I called and spoke directly to someone, and they gave me their email for me to resend the cert. So def give them a call a day or two after emailing it to make sure they got it.

The pre-immersion course isn't accessible yet. According to the letter, they'll let us know when we can start it, which will be like 5-6 weeks before the term starts

@sierra_foxtrot 3.3 over all, 3.5 pre req!! Eeeeep sooo nervous waiting game sucks!!! So happy I found this thread.

NursingCas still hasn't verified my transcripts though! How long should this take? I called and they said it'll take two weeks! It's been one week and I check every day lol How does cane link work?
