University of Miami Accelerated BSN spring 2018

Hey all, I've been waiting to see a UM ABSN 2018 thread pop up but figured I might as well start one. I submitted my application on March 17 and still waiting for NursingCAS to verify my transcripts. From what I've gathered through past threads, its a rolling admission so I'm hoping to hear back in the next few months! Curious if there's anybody else out there who has applied or planning on applying!

Hi everyone, What does an acceptance look like on Canelink? does it explicitly say Accepted or what? and do you get an email as well?

Hey Sharpelzee, it would say "Congratulations!" and then they tell you that they would like to extend an offer for the BSN accelerated track at UM.

Its been quiet in here! Any news on more acceptances??

I just spoke with the nursing office; I was hoping to take a few classes ahead of time (like pharma), but was told they don't accept those transfer credits :(

I wasn't able to get much info on what class/clinicals load will be like, just that we'll have 5 classes our first semester and the clinical hours will vary

They tell me Pharma is the most difficult class. One should get an Ebook and study ahead of time. Maybe we could find out which book our class will actually use ?

Hi! I just got an email saying my app is under review by the committee! How long after do you think I'll hear back? Ugh sooo nervous!!!!! Pray for me! Lol

I had a friend that she did this program a long time ago. She told me that she had clinicals once a week for 8 hours, the second semester (Summer) is going to be tougher since we have 2 clinical 12 hours each every week, and the third I think she told me the same as the Summer semester. Yes, pharm is hard and she told me we have to be constantly studying do not procrastinate or it's going to doom your whole semester.

Voltaire11, I'll try to find out but like I said it was a long time ago. If you do buy it, try to buy it used just in case it is not the same as the one we are going to be using. I'll post it as soon as I find out.

Hi! I applied June 20th, but still haven't heard anything or seen anything on Canelink. Anyone else in the same boat?
