University of Miami Accelerated BSN spring 2018

Published

Hey all, I've been waiting to see a UM ABSN 2018 thread pop up but figured I might as well start one. I submitted my application on March 17 and still waiting for NursingCAS to verify my transcripts. From what I've gathered through past threads, its a rolling admission so I'm hoping to hear back in the next few months! Curious if there's anybody else out there who has applied or planning on applying!

Does anyone know when in May the program starts? Thanks!

Hey @Sierra_foxtrot I just got accepted and will be moving from Nor Cal and would love to join the FB page as well. Thanks for setting up this thread!

Congratulations to all of you who were accepted & who are in the program! I was wondering for those of you who have started in the program already are any of you living on campus? If not where are some great places to

look for apartments? And if you don't mind me asking how are you able to afford rent because I know the program is full time. I look forward to hearing some of your responses.

Hi everyone, I applied two weeks ago. My application was returned since I didn't enter my transcripts they wanted. Anyway, I corrected the mistake and hopefully NursingCAS will have everything by Friday. Do you know how much it takes for NursingCAS to send the application to UM? My overall GPA is 3.7 and pre-reqs 4.0. Still missing two (Nutrition and PSY 101) that I plan to finish during Summer 1 semester. I hope that won't be a big issue since they are already backed up. Good luck to everyone!

Did anybody get accepted for spring yet?

When do we hear back?

Hi Carnitas, May I ask you about the ABSN program at UM? How do you like it?

I got accepted for Spring 2019 semester, and I'm eager to know more about the program. Thank you!!

I was accepted into the spring 2019 ABSN program and would love some information on it as well. I have a weekend job that allows me to study, I just have to sit at a desk. Will I be able to keep it, or are there clinicals on the weekends? Any information would be extremely helpful.

Hi everyone-

i know it’s late in the game lol but I took the chance and applied to UM ABSN Spring 2020 end of June.

I was wondering if accepted, is anyone looking for roommates? Are you using loans to pay for rent etc.?

i live an hour and 45 minutes away from campus so am trying to figure out for those accepted, what your plans were if you do not live close by.
