University of Miami-ABSN Summer 2019

Hi everyone! I know it's extremely early but I wanted to start a thread because I'm sure that like me, many of you have lots of questions. I'm hoping that this thread can be used to help us get answers! I would also like to know what other schools are you all applying to.

Any students that were previously accepted and willing to share their tips, stats, experience, etc we will gladly appreciate it.

Good luck to everyone. We got this!

I just submitted a couple days ago too! I'm nervously waiting for transcripts to get verified. Does anyone know at what point we get a CaneLink account? Is it once everything on NursingCAS has been verified?

I got mine a few days after submitting on nursingCAS. I'm still waiting for transcripts to be verified and my last rec letter so my status on CaneLink still says incomplete, but keep your eye out for an email from them!

Yes is says complete. Have micro and A&P II in progress

Has anyone heard back? I saw earlier someone posted that they had to stop reviewing applications because of classes but I am getting so anxious!

No unfortunately not, this is killing me

I spoke with a nursing advisor today and she told me that they make decisions on a rolling basis but don’t necessarily have to email one at a time. Even if you applied months earlier February 1st or a little bit before the deadline. It doesn’t mean you’re going to get a descion. She said that they have until the end of March to fully make a descion. Which sucks :(

Hi everyone!

I submitted my application on 01/09 and it still says incomplete. I also spoke with them today and she said that’s pretty recent, decisions will be made through March. So unfortunately sounds like it’s gonna be a minute! Yet I’ll still be anxiously checking my status everyday haha.

Hello everyone!

I know I joined this a little bit late, but I was also curious to know why my application status on Canelink still says incomplete, even though I submitted it 1/04/19 but finalized all my transcripts and matched the prereqs last week on 1/25/19. I just got off the phone with someone from the Nursing School and this is what she told me: "The application status will continue to say 'incomplete' until someone manually goes into your application to change it to 'complete' (this is usually when a decision is made). This happens because you did not apply directly through the Canelink but rather NursingCAS and they aren't connected."

Hopefully, this helps and reassures anyone who may be in the same boat as me haha

Is anyone else checking their canelink every 30 minutes today (and every day)?!? Decisions went out exactly 4 weeks ago so I'm hoping the next batch will go out today. I'm so nervous!?

Good luck everyone! ?

Specializes in CVICU.

I just checked my canelink and saw that I had been accepted into the program. When I logged in to look at my application, it still said incomplete but on the student center home page there was a box at the bottom that had a green check mark and said admitted. I called to verify and sure enough I was lucky enough to be admitted. Good luck to everyone out there! Go Canes!!
