University of Miami-ABSN Summer 2019

Hi everyone! I know it's extremely early but I wanted to start a thread because I'm sure that like me, many of you have lots of questions. I'm hoping that this thread can be used to help us get answers! I would also like to know what other schools are you all applying to.

Any students that were previously accepted and willing to share their tips, stats, experience, etc we will gladly appreciate it.

Good luck to everyone. We got this!

Nope no decision yet

I just called them and they told me that they started admitting students but had to stop because they just had a class start this week and they will continue reviewing applications in 2 weeks. I haven't heard either.

I wish it wasn’t rolling admission so we would all forsure know at the same time, I check my email maybe 3 times a day lol

Oh no! My status changed to complete yesterday and I was hopeful I would know a decision soon. The wait is killing me :D

When did you apply McKinleemay? And has your status changed to complete yet?

I applied Dec 31 and was verified Jan 10. Undergrad is a 3.1 but my pre rec is a 4.0 right now. Still have micro and A&P 2 to take this spring. Come from a Marketing background and currently a project specialist for a large company based in Philly. I'm kind of nervous since I don't have hospital experience so fingers crossed.

I wouldn't put yourself down. Though I had all my pre-reqs completed, my undergrad GPA, according to NursingCAS, was a 3.2. My pre-req GPA was the same, if not lower. They choose a diverse group of students. Some have healthcare experience, while many don't. Keep your fingers crossed!

My status changed to complete two weeks ago, but I haven’t heard anything either. I’m getting anxious! May is coming very quickly. I applied early October, and all of my requirements (reference letters, etc) were complete on November 1. Has anyone else heard anything - acceptances or denials?

I checked the past years on allnurses and looks like people start getting accepted the first weeks in February. Seems to come in waves

Did anyone struggle with signing on using the given caneID and temporary password? I just received the email with all of that information however the information provided doesn't seem to work!
