University of Miami ABSN Summer 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello Everyone,

Is anyone else applying for the Accelerated BSN program at the University of Miami to start in May 2018? I am just finishing up my application now and hoping to submit it in a week or two. I'd like to connect to some others also applying!

I look forward to hearing from you all!

Ok, thanks! I don't think cane link is working today. It says 502 proxy server

Yeah I remember reading that canelink will be down for the weekend.

Do they send out acceptances before they send out denials??

Hey guys! I know this is a dumb question, but where can I find my Canelink? I applied through NursingCAS and I don't think I receieved a cane link

Hey @barrioschris I think you were supposed to receive an email containing the info regarding your Canelink credentials after you applied. That email would have a subject of "University of Miami Application Received" and in the message would be:

"To access CaneLink, go to http://www.canelink.miami.edu and log in using the following CaneID and temporary password:

- CaneID: (sampleID)

- Temporary Password: (samplePassword)"

I would contact the office if you can't find this email.

To clarify "incomplete" and "complete" on applications status: I called AGAIN this morning bc I saw my application was incomplete. I have never looked at the app status because I knew my application was complete as per their email they send out with Cane link login info. Incomplete means they haven't reviewed the application yet. ;/

So complete doesn't necessarily mean they made a decision yet? :/

Correct, our application is still under review.

MY MISTAKE! Complete means they made a decision. Incomplete means its still under review. I read your comment wrong.

Does anyone know of anyone receiving a denial yet ?

I was told today that ‘complete' means one's application is still under review..... lol. I'm so confused at this point :/

I called again this morning...in hopes that I'd get a little more info on when decisions would be rendered. I actually spoke with the woman in charge of the admissions and she said "incomplete" means app is still under review. Before I was transferred to her, the girl at the front told me to take that as a good thing. She said "complete" means a decision has been rendered. Hope this helps! But its strange that someone would tell you "complete" means its under review still. Were you ever notified when your application status changed from incomplete to complete? Did you ever get anything via email regarding the status change?
