Hello Everyone,

Is anyone else applying for the Accelerated BSN program at the University of Miami to start in May 2018? I am just finishing up my application now and hoping to submit it in a week or two. I'd like to connect to some others also applying!

I spoke with someone from admissions and she said that they admit on a "day-by-day" basis.

So do you think there will even be any point in calling? Did they give you any other information? I am really freaking out... I hope this wait means good news!

No, I haven't. I only received an e-mail about paying the deposit and a list of requirements to complete before the start date.

I applied mid December and still haven't heard back. I am a double major in bio/psych with a 3.3 GPA. Can anyone who got accepted tell me in what field they received their bachelors degree and GPA? Im freaking out bc I feel like I should have heard back by now. I called them yesterday and the woman told me they received a lot of applicants this year and they are still processing them. Is this true?? Do you think I should start worrying.

I have called twice already and they said they are still processing since there were a lot of applicants this round. IDK I am freaking out too because I applied mid december. It is my number one school but I feel like Im stuck bc I was admitted to another school and they have mandatory orientation next week.

Hi friend! @acarmico; also applied mid december, aslo a bio major and also 3.3 GPA! lol!

I called today and was told nothing new despite trying very hard to get something finite. She said they received almost 700 applications this year and are admitting 100. She said there are still vacancies and they are still actively admitting, and to anticipate to hear back "by the end of April". I want to do this program so badly, but my goodness...this process has been pretty dreary.

At this point I am planting other seeds but keeping hope alive for UM at the same time. Congrats on getting into another school! and goodluck to everybody reading this!!

Hi!! End of April!!!??? Someone told me last week it was the end of March. I want this program so badly as well but I, like everyone else, am in a time crunch. : (((((

Does anyone else's application application say ‘complete' ?? Mine has been complete for over 3 weeks now and I have yet to hear back! I applied on January 4th.. sigh. The end of April sounds very late... especially if there's a mandatory orientation on May 17. It really does not give much time for students who would have to relocate if accepted :(

Where are you guys seeing complete/incomplete? Are you referring to the email they sent out saying application is complete and under review? Or is it somewhere on Canelink
