Hello,
The application cycle for University of Miami ABSN for Summer 2017 just opened today. Wondering if anyone is applying! I will be sending my application in a few weeks. Deadline is March 1st. But its rolling admission so the earlier you apply the earlier you hear back! Good luck to everyone. Also if someone is currently a student in the ABSN program, please share your thoughts about the program to help the rest of us who are applying :)
I heard the same thing about knowing by thanksgiving. When I didn't hear anything I called again, and the guy looked me up and said he didn't realize I was applying for summer. And that I'd be one of the first to know. So apparently they're still accepting people for spring :: the whole time they probably thought I was asking about spring when I was applying for summer. So considering spring starts in January, hopefully they'll be getting to us soon!
I am s overwhelmed. I am trying to stay occupied with something else, but I can't help but check everyday to see if there has been an update. Mines still says incomplete. Also, does anyone know how many classes a nursing student takes a semester and how intense is the program? I'm just a nervous wreck.
Hey Cram,
If this helps, the schools office is closed until Jan 3rd so there likely won't hear an update until the new year. That's what I'm guessing. I hear accelerated programs are strenuous however if one commits to daily study/review and stays up on work then it is quite manageable. (Source: GF in ABSN program).
Hey guys I kinda just made a decision to go to an ABSN program and I'd like to apply to Miami. In terms of the pre-reqs, do they allow intro to Chemistry for the chemistry requirement? Also does anyone know the policy on whether or not they accep CLEP for the Intro to psych and Human Growth and Development courses? Outside of that I'm covered.

So I checked my canelink today as I've been doing every day obsessively (lol), and the application status has changed from incomplete to complete! However it doesn't say anywhere what the decision is. No email or letter, but I imagine this means we'll be finding out soon.
