university of Miami ABSN Summer 2017

The application cycle for University of Miami ABSN for Summer 2017 just opened today. Wondering if anyone is applying! I will be sending my application in a few weeks. Deadline is March 1st. But its rolling admission so the earlier you apply the earlier you hear back! Good luck to everyone. Also if someone is currently a student in the ABSN program, please share your thoughts about the program to help the rest of us who are applying :)

My final transcript was processed by NursingCas today (took foreeever), and I received an email filling me in on the whole Canelink thing. I see you and a few others received the scholarship email. Not that I would receive that, but are these emails sent to your persona email address? Or sent to your canelink messaging center?

Hi guys I recently applied for summer 2017! Nursing CAS just received my last transcript, does anyone know if they have to verify it before we get our canelink login information??! I spoke to someone on the phone and said it takes 4-6 weeks to verify so I am praying they verify it before March 1st!

yes, all transcripts have to be verified; that often takes a few weeks to be completed. although you still got time, you just don't have time for the scholarship-the deadline is February 1st.

thanks for the reply! I actually got the scholarship mailed in on time, I overnighted it! but the person at Nursing CAS told me they dont have to be verified for them to view my application however I was reading otherwise on a different forum, so im a little confused

I was told, when I called nursing admissions at the University of Miami, that when your application says complete that means that they have everything and are ready to review it. Then I was told by someone else that means the decisions been made. Another lady told me they weren't allowed to give decisions over the phone but that mine had already been made. And that was almost 2 months ago. So I'm really confused about how it works. There's so much different information going around, but I can't wait til we actually start recieiving decisions because the wait is stressful!!

Yeah totally nerve wracking!! Haha I've been looking at last years forum and the first people to get admitted got their acceptance letters February 17th! So I'm hoping we'll know then or sooner.

does anyone's application still have "incomplete" ? mine does, but when i emailed, a person responded not to worry about it & if i am missing stuff, they would let me know. i did receive the scholarship application, but i guess not hearing anything back is pretty nerve wrecking.

Mine does, but they told me not to worry about it and that it for their use not for us.

Mine says complete but I submitted it in September! When did you submit yours? I think it took like a month for mine to say complete
