University of Memphis BSN Spring '14 Students

Published

Hello, I was recently accepted into Loewenberg school for nursing. I just wanted to start a board for anyone that has any advice or tips on surviving nursing at the UofM and possibly just start communicating with one another as nursing students of the school. I will say that the program has changed a bit because I am starting out with only 14 credit hours and it was originally 17 hrs, with that being said, I am really excited about nursing school and anxious at the same time about what is to come. Congratulations to anyone that was accepted and good luck because it's about that time to hit the ground and starting running!!!

If y'all dont mind sharing, what were your GPAs and TEAS V scores? I really want to apply to UofM for Spring 2015 and I just want to know where I would stand if I did.

@prettydoll123 My gpa 3.25 cumlative; science 3.72 Teas score 73. Hope that helps!

It does! Thank you!

Good luck on your journey to becoming a nurse and you are more than welcome!

I'll be applying to LSON as well as UTHSC and SWTCC. Hopefully I'll receive an acceptance letter.

@SherylLT That is great! I have my fingers crossed for you, it is such a nail biting wait until you get the letter!!

Hi prettydoll123! My GPA is a 3.77 cumulative and a 4.0 in science/pre reqs. I scored an 80 on the TEAS. V. And I also already have a B.A. from the U of M; class of 2010. Just strive to get the best grades possible bc it's a competitive program. Good luck!!!

@ Colemab2BNurse: no I haven't gotten my scrubs back yet. How long did they tell you it would be? And thanks for the tip, I'll go to Target tomorrow!

@Coleman2BNurse. Thanks. My gpa is not that high but I hope to be competitive. Cumulative - 3.0, science - 3.7, Teas V - 71.3. Have a BBA From U of M, reason for low cumulative

@kywoodrd I did not ask, I saw a sign in the store by the cash register that said 3-4 days & not 3-4 weeks. It didn't register to ask, dumb me! @ SherlyLT keep pushing and ALWAYS think positive because you never know what is about to become!

@ SherylLT. Your 3.7 is great and as long as you passed the TEAS (62.5 or higher) you should be good. I think it depends on who is also applying when you do. I heard that the University ranks you against the other applicants....I think!

@ Colemab2BNurse: I'm soooo ready to get my scrubs back. I paid for then on the 26th of December. Hopefully they call me back soon. Where did you order yours from?
