Hello, I was recently accepted into Loewenberg school for nursing. I just wanted to start a board for anyone that has any advice or tips on surviving nursing at the UofM and possibly just start communicating with one another as nursing students of the school. I will say that the program has changed a bit because I am starting out with only 14 credit hours and it was originally 17 hrs, with that being said, I am really excited about nursing school and anxious at the same time about what is to come. Congratulations to anyone that was accepted and good luck because it's about that time to hit the ground and starting running!!!
I attended two of UTHSC's earlier open houses and have been in close contact with their staff. I was told I should be okay. I just prefer to be certain than okay. If I don't receive any acceptance letters, I'll repeat some lower level classes to boost my GPA.
@ SherylLT. Your 3.7 is great and as long as you passed the TEAS (62.5 or higher) you should be good. I think it depends on who is also applying when you do. I heard that the University ranks you against the other applicants....I think!
My TEAS V score is 71.3% and I'm applying for BSN accelerated programs. I've got my fingers crossed.
@ Colemab2BNurse: Ok.......so I had to CANCEL my order at Landua and go to Identity Factor bc Landua didn't even have my scrubs in stock so they hadn't started on my monogram!!!! Ugh :/ So thanks for suggesting the other place! Hopefully I have my scrubs by Friday. Are you ready for orientation??? I'm soo excited : )
@kywoodrd Nothing fancy, something comfortable since we have to be there all day and I will bring a small drawstring bag with basic needs to take notes and snacks. Oh, and are you signing up with SNA at orentation? I am, for the support system and the upper class buddy that they pair you with for help or mentoring.
