Hello, I was recently accepted into Loewenberg school for nursing. I just wanted to start a board for anyone that has any advice or tips on surviving nursing at the UofM and possibly just start communicating with one another as nursing students of the school. I will say that the program has changed a bit because I am starting out with only 14 credit hours and it was originally 17 hrs, with that being said, I am really excited about nursing school and anxious at the same time about what is to come. Congratulations to anyone that was accepted and good luck because it's about that time to hit the ground and starting running!!!

Hey, I'm starting Spring 2014 too! I'm wondering how much have you all have spent so far? I just bought my scrubs and a couple books today that added up to $1,100!!! Has anyone started buying their stuff yet?

congratulations! I'm hoping to start in the fall of 2014! Could you tell me what your first semester schedule looks like?
I did buy my books earlier this week and it was roughly around $950 but I still have to go back and purchase this code for three years, which is about $134 if I am not mistaken which will shoot it up to about $1000. Tomorrow I was going to buy my scrubs and odds and ends as too that are required.
@ memphismom mon-thur, two classes a day, one on thurs, they are about a block apart from each other in time and class starts for me during the morning and last till early evening.
Thanks! Im just so curious about the schedules so I can work out daycare costs.
Yea my schedule is also Mon - Thursday, which I like. I'm just hoping it'll give me enough time to get a weekend job!
@kywoodrd Kool!! Hopefully we have the same classes together, it won't be long before school begins.
We're you able to find the calculator on the requirements page? (the blue sheet) It said no substitutions. The one at the on campus bookstore isn't the right one.
I was just going to look for it at Walmart, best buy or eBay. I will let you know where I find it or vice verse. That is ashame that the school bookstore don't even have it. On Monday I'am going back up there to get basic school supplies, the list is just about finished!
@kywoodrd I found the calculator that is needed at target just a little under five bucks, now off to finish buying pencils, paper, binders and most importantly flash cards!
That's great news! Which Target????
The target on Germantown pkwy. Have you finished your list so far? And are they finished with your uniforms?
