Hi all soon to be fellow classmates! I just wanted to start this thread up so we didn't have to go weaving through all of the older stuff on the old threads.
I am really excited about starting school come January, really nervous though too. I have a lot to get done between now and then and sometimes I just don't think there is enough time in the day. Oh well, I plan on enjoying the holidays and working my buns off to save some money so that isn't an additional stressor during the first semester.
So lets post our questions, our thoughts and hopefully just get to know one another! And again....CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Hey! Did you get e-mails or letters from instructors? I got neither. And I didn't see anything on Blackboard either.
I got letters, not e-mails, from N304, N315, and N333 instructors. They include the information about required textbooks, reading assignments, and lab schedules.
For N304 it says in order to be prepared for the first lecture we should read chapters 1, 5, and 31 from Kozier Fundamentals of nursing;
For N315 it's Lehne text, pages 1-99, and also material on the controlled substances act, which is on pp. 406-407
N333 it's suggested reading: chapters 1-6, and 8.
I didn't get anything from N320.

hmmmm maybe I should check my mail at home. That's a lot of suggested reading already. I'm still waiting for my books to be sent out (I ordered some on half.com because the bookstore was over-priced!).
Ps, for the new students starting this semester - if you want some textbooks, I still have a few from last semester. Just shoot me a pm and we can work something out.
Did anyone get the financial aid package from school? I sent my document last Monday and they ask for it again last friday. Do they screw up a lot? ugh I need to go to school again!
I thought the fin aid packet came w/ our acceptance letter. I turned in the paperworks (obtained online) for Fin Aid in person last week. I hope it works out, Blondell, sorry that you've to go up to Baltimore again.
Does anyone know when Grey Lady mentioned wearing our uniforms in lab next week, does that pertain to the lab coat or the scrubs outfit? I thought scrub outfit was for our clinical and lab coat for lab on campus?? What do we wear underneath the lab coat then?
I can't believe tomorrow's orientation for SG. I'll see you guys soon!
For the lab coat, you wear the business casual underneath. You can wear either the School uniform or business casual+ lab coat to the stimulation lab. That's what I understand anyway from Baltimore campus orientation.
Thanks Blondell for the information! How was the B-more orientation? I think your class is 3x as large as the SG class. Btw, I have to re-submit my fin. aid papers too! I filled out the wrong ones
