Has anyone applied to UHV Second Degree BSN program for Spring 2012?
Future UHV nursing students.....once you get accepted into the program let me know if anyone is interested in buying some of my textbooks from 2011. There were collegues that used prior years(2010) textbooks. I am trying to get rid of them because I will have no need for them. Will sell them at a very good price and can match any offers. Good luck with the interview.

Sorry I've been out of touch for a while. We have all been looking for jobs and finalizing our paperwork for graduation. :)
For the interview, I brought a copy of every single thing that they might not have a copy of already. I do remember that they took some people's shot records last year since they didn't have them yet. They also took the cards that we got in the mail that said we had done our background check. I had a leather portfolio with me of my entire life relating to nursing school, that way I was prepared.
The day was very long. The first part was them telling us how happy they were to have us, etc, etc. Then we got right into the interview part. We split up into groups and some of us went into the computer room, and others went into the group scenarios. I did my computer part first, and then moved along to the group part. That was funny. Seriously....you have to know how to play well with others in this program. (Hint: If they give you something to read or some "homework" before the interview, READ it!!!!)
Then we went back into the main room and they talked more about how happy they were to have us, etc, etc. :) Then some of the students from the current year talked to us and told us how fast the program was, how it was hard, etc (just like we will do for you). I think that we will probably be more specific since a lot of us would have preferred more specifics during the interview. Then there is a Q&A session.....and then it's over. Easy peasy! I know it's not that easy, and it is a long time, but trust me, you're doing the hardest part now...waiting.
Our class is supposedly doing better than any other class has done as far as grades and expected pass rates, so I think that they got some of their kinks worked out. The crazy low pass rates were a total flaw in the system though because some of the students didn't even take the NCLEX until 11 months after they graduated!
I hope you guys are getting excited because we sure are! We can't wait to see who will take our places!
