University of Florida DNP Fall 2021

Hello there! I just wanted to start this thread to see if there were any people applying to the University of Florida for next fall for their nurse practitioner program? I am applying to the BSN to DNP specialty in Pediatric Acute Care. Anyone know how the current pandemic might affect the application process? Any current students that might want to share their experiences with application process, and the current state of the program? Thank you all in advanced, looking forward to hearing from you all and starting this journey.

I was referring to my submission to UNF (University of North Florida ) program

Also how do you know what number you are ? I have not heard anything from UF yet.

I haven’t heard anything from UF yet. Have you ?

Overall I heard there were a lot of applicants this year due to COVID and the waiving of the GRE requirement.

No. I was referring to UNF FNP

Yeah I was talking about unf FNP. I didn't know If you knew what number you were on that waitlist! And I'm about to submit my UF app. Just finishing up my essay.

Yeah I don’t know where I am on the waiting list but was told they filled up the first week of November so everyone that met the requirements after that was waitlisted.

I hope the UF application protocol is still wide open until it closes March 1.  I’m confused...how can there be waitlist decisions before the application closes?  Is this discussion still referring to the UNF experience?

Hi! just submitted my app for UF's FNP! I read old forums and see that others didn't sometimes hear until late April/early may! literally reading all I can haha so nervewracking!

Hey!

I am finishing up my application now for the Fall. I am stuck between FNP and AGACNP. I am also waiting on a few of my references, so once those are in I will submit. I am so nervous. UF is my top school and honestly my GPA is not very good but I have wonderful references. Anyone else applying with a not so great GPA? Do they look at every class for GPA or just nursing courses??
